Seller Agreement
Last updated: June 2026. This agreement governs selling on the We Make Stuff marketplace.
1. Who Can Sell
The We Make Stuff marketplace is open to independent artists, printmakers, jewelers, and makers of handcrafted physical goods. All work must be original and made by human hands. AI-generated art, reproductions of others' work, and mass-manufactured items are strictly prohibited.
2. Listing Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your listings: title, description, price, dimensions, materials, edition size, and stock. Misleading listings will result in removal and may result in account suspension.
3. Platform Commission
We Make Stuff charges a platform commission of 5% on every completed sale. This is deducted from your earnings before payout. The commission rate applicable at the time of sale is recorded per order item and is the binding rate for that transaction.
4. Payouts
Artist earnings are paid out on a periodic basis (typically monthly) via Razorpay to your registered bank account or UPI. You are responsible for ensuring your payout details are accurate and up to date.
5. Fulfilment
You are responsible for marking your items as fulfilled within 5 business days of an order being placed. Upon marking all items in an order as fulfilled, the platform will arrange a Shiprocket pickup from the registered platform address. Ensure your items are packaged and ready for pickup at the scheduled time.
6. Shipping Limitations
Delivery is currently facilitated via a single platform-level pickup location. Per-seller Shiprocket onboarding is not yet available. By listing on the platform, you acknowledge this limitation and agree to hand over packed items as required.
7. Returns & Disputes
In the event of a buyer dispute, We Make Stuff will mediate. If a return is approved, the cost of return shipping and the refunded amount may be deducted from your future earnings. Sellers with repeated quality or fulfilment issues may be suspended.
8. Taxes
You are responsible for your own GST registration and compliance if applicable. We Make Stuff does not withhold or remit seller taxes on your behalf.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Pending payouts for completed orders will still be disbursed. Active listings will be removed upon account closure.
